Prof. Lucia Angiolini is a professor of Palaeontology at UNIMI. Her primary research is on the taxonomy and biostratigraphy of Carboniferous and Permian brachiopods from N Europe, the Mediterranean region, Arabia and Asia, and on the palaeoclimatological and palaeoecological implications of their study.

Dr. Annette E. Götz is a visiting lecturer and adjunct research scientist at the Department of Structural Geology and Geodynamics, Göttingen University, Germany. Her broad spectrum of basic and applied research ranges from late Palaeozoic and Mesozoic palynology with a focus on palaeoenvironment and palaeoclimate reconstruction to sedimentary geochemistry and energy resources.

Prof. Charles Henderson is a Professor at the University of Calgary and a former Secretary and Chair of the Subcommission on Permian Stratigraphy. His primary research considers conodont biostratigraphy, evolution and paleobiology from many sites around the world in order to refine the Permian and Early Triassic Geologic Time Scale.

Dr Hana Jurikova is a Research Fellow at the University of St Andrews. Hana is an isotope geochemist, with her main research focusing on palaeo-climate and palaeo-seawater reconstructions. Hana’s interests also include Permian brachiopods and brachiopod biomineralisation, biodiversity patterns, the Permian-Triassic mass extinction and evaporitic deposits.

Dr. Sangmin (Sam) Lee is a Research Fellow at the University of Wollongong. Sam’s research is on taxonomy, biostratigraphy, palaeobiogeography and phylogeny of Palaeozoic marine macroinvertebrate fossils, currently focusing on Permian brachiopods from the southern Sydney Basin in eastern Australia to understand evolutionary trends in high-latitudinal environments during the Permian.

Prof. Joerg (“Jogi”) W. Schneider was Professor for Palaeontology and Stratigraphy and the Head of the Department for Palaeontology and Stratigraphy Technical University Berg­aka­de­mie Freiberg; retired 2016 but still member of the university. He was the former Vice-Chair of the Subcommission on Permian Stratigraphy and leads till now the Late Carboniferous-Permian-Early Triassic Nonmarine-Marine Correlation Working Group (SCCS, SPS, STS). His primary research focus on Carboniferous, Permian and Triassic non-marine biota, taxonomy, biostratigraphy, palaeobiogeography and global correlation.
